VROOM VROOM!! Who's ready to race?

Hello!  On your mark, get set, GO!!!  I really had fun doing this theme.

This was also from a party I did back in September.  Wow, it's been 2 months and I'm posting it now.

a few of the things...napkin rings, thank you tags and random
circle tags to be  placed on different things

This was my first time making napkin rings.  No one had
ever requested them and it had never occurred to me.  I
love how they turned out and how great they look positioned
on the tables.

Table set up for the kids
Banner was partially store bought.  I added the big red
circles and letters to it.  I was a bit weary about the look of
it but I'd say it came out great.  If you look closely you
will see the tags strategically place in different areas of the table
Candy station with ribbon and tags added.

These were the centerpieces used.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!

AARRGGG!! It's another pirate party

Hello Me Hearties,
Yep it's me again.  I'm finally getting around to posting all my creations.  It's so busy around here that I can't find time to get on blogger like I use to.  Here's a great pirate party theme I did back in September.  I really do love these pirate digi images I found from Woofy World.   For the pirate banner I used the locker talk cartridge and cute the circles out using my imagine stock images.  Most of the other pirate decor was made using my GIMP software and my printer.  For the princess wand I cut chipboard with my cricut using plantain schoolbook and then cut out additional stars on glitter paper.  I then made rosettes to adhere to one side of the wand.  I added a 1" circle to the center and embossed it with divine swirls.  I then went

Have ye self a great day!!

Girly Jolly Roger Pirate party

Hi,
It's all about parties these days.  I recently created a very girly pirate party theme.  Here are a few pictures.  The Jolly Roger was made on my Gypsy using the Indie Art cartridge.  I hid the original eyes using the "hide contour" feature and added the hearts for her nose and eyes.  For the banner I used the font from the Baby Steps cartridge.  Enjoy!!

Ahoy Mates!

Hello crafty friends,
Here's another birthday party I was asked to put together.  Unlike my previous party. (Very very girly) Zebra Minnie  this party was for a boy turning 6.  He's all about pirates and Jack Sparrow.  Here are a few things I made.  Its not your traditional red and white stripes because of the whole Pirates of the Caribbean color theme.

For the banner I used Plantin Schoolbook for the circles and letters.  The Jolly Rodger is from Indie Art. The ends of the banner are from some of the party packaging for Pirates of the Caribbean.  I created the tags on my Gimp software and then adhered them to blue cardstock and twine.  The treasure chest and pirate ship were used as center pieces.  I painted them with acrylic paints and added jewels and mardi gras beads.  I also created the custom invitation on GIMP.

Have a great day!

Repurposed Banners/Whimsical Wednesdays

Hello Crafty Friends,
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  Lots of blog hops going on.  If you haven't visited yet, go check out Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge blog.   They're having an awesome hop going on to introduce their awesome designers.

Anyway, a couple weeks ago I posted some banners I made. You can check out that post HERE. A few days after the party I received this picture via text.  They took the banners and hung them up in the playroom.   That made me feel so good.  Makes it all worth it.   Not a great picture(it was taken with a phone)

have a great day!

Christmas recap/using my Imagine/Valentine's Day

Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  I had a wonderful time sharing with family and friends.  One of my favorite moments was the excitement in my kid's faces when they opened their gifts from "Santa".  I love how they look when they first wake up with their PJ's and messy sleep hair.

During the holidays I got an order for 2 identical 12x12 scrapbooks by Christmas Eve.  It was for a friend so I gladly accepted the challenge.  I created 36 pages in one week.  A bit challenging with two kids running around but they behaved great.  They even helped me out.  Here are just a couple of pages and images from the book.  I moved my Imagine machine to my craft area and used it throughout the book along with my regular expression cartridges.

On to Valentine's Day.  I'm not even near ready for another holiday, but as I browse through blog world I keep seeing more and more Valentine's related posts.  I'm not quite there yet but have some great ideas brewing in my head.  Will start posting soon.

Enjoy the photos and I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year.  All the best for 2011!!!

As Promised!!

Hello everyone!
So sorry I haven't been able to post.  December is a very busy month for me.  Aside from the holidays hustle and bustle I have my wedding anniversary, my birthday, hubby's birthday, brother's birthday, mother in law's birthday, school parties.....etc  To top it off I decided to make myself even busier by participating in a craft fair.  Thankfully it was a success.  I had a great time and met some very wonderful people.  Here are some pictures of my table along with all the goodies I was selling.  If you're interested in purchasing anything let me know.
