Pleasantly Surprised

Good Morning Crafty friends,

I was browsing through the many blogs I follow and was pleasantly surprised when Crafty Chics posted one of my projects on their blog.  Shawn contacted me last week to see if I was interested in having my blog featured for their "Guest Blog Week".  I was thrilled but with soooo many other talented crafters I wasn't sure if I had "made the cut"  :)  Hop on over and check out all the other neat projects posted.  Crafty Chics

THANK YOU CRAFTY CHICS!!!

The Cricut at work! Happy Birthday Banner

Happy Monday!  I'm one of the few that loves Mondays.  They help me start my routine again.  A new beginning!  Mondays help me forget all the the bad things I ate last week.

Wanted to show you a SUPER cute birthday banner I made with my friend for her daughter's 1st birthday. She's on my facebook and I see a post on my newsfeed from her saying something like:  "I hate cutting this...wish I had a Cricut!"  So the obsessed scrapbooker in me ran over to her house.   I won't take the full credit for this.  The original idea came from Etsy.  Someone was selling a banner VERY similar to this for $40.00!!  It was beautiful and also made out of paper.  This is my version of it.  A few little tweeks here and there....

The letters and circles are from Plantin Schoolbook.  Scallop rectangles & scallop circles are from Accent Essentials.

MY HALF!!

Hello everyone!  TGIF!!!!  So sorry I've been MIA for so many days.  I was out of town.  In Disney World to be precise.  I participated in the Wine and Dine Half Marathon.  Its the first time I've ever done it.  Its the first time I've ever run in MY LIFE!!  It was the most exhilarating experience ever.   I can't believe I did it. A big thanks to my family for all of their support and to the wonderful new friends I met along the way.  Here are a few pics of my big day.
