Thank you to our Teachers Blog Hop Day 3!

Hello!  Welcome to Day 3 of the Thank You to our Teachers Blog hop.  If you just arrived here from Claudia's blog then you're on the right track.  If you just dropped by and wish to see the fabulous teacher gifts then you should start at the beginning with Jen.  Here's what I have to show you.

made this last year for my son's pre-k teacher.  It's a wooden letter covered in patterned paper and
embellished.  The teacher loved it.  It was so nice to walk into her classroom this
year and see it up on her wall.  I used grunge paper for the flower and
spritzed it with "fake" glimmer mist to give it it's color.  Click Here to find out about
my "fake" glimmer mist.  The butterfly is from the
Gypsy Wanderings cart.

This is a thank you card I gave to one of the ladies/friend
that work in the office.  I was so thankful for all of her
help with my sons enrollment into Kindergarten.

This tag was made using the Locker Talk cartridge.
Made this to accompany one of the end of the year
gifts.  On the back I wrote a personal
message to the teacher.

I hope you all had as great a time as I've had in this hop.  As a THANK YOU to you I will be giving away 2 things!!
The first is an accordion album similar to the one I made on my first post.  The second giveaway is a scalloped tag chipboard mini album.    I have 1 RULE.  You must leave me a comment on all three posts to be eligible.
Post 1 is HERE  and Post 2 is HERE.
The lucky winner will be chosen via random.org on Tuesday, June 14th.

Thank you to our Teachers Blop hop Day 2

Welcome to the Thank You To Our Teachers Blog Hop! Day 2.   If you have arrived here from Claudia's then you are on the right track.  If you just happened to stop by my blog for a visit and want to hop along with us, start from the beginning withhttp://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.memorieswithjen.blogspot.com%2F&h=a55f0 .  This is a week long hop and we will be posting on 3 seperate days.  (June 5th, 8th and 11th)  Please make sure you hop on those days or throughout the week to see all the wonderful inspiration on what to make our teachers for thank you gifts.

For my second project, I decided to create a frame.  I bought the wooden frame at Michael's and decorated it with the Me and my Big Ideas paper stack.  I used the Plantin Schoolbook and Home Decor Cricut cartridges.  In the center there is a picture that I did not put in order to protect the teacher's privacy.  This was such a fun little project.

Hope you enjoyed my project.  Make sure to check-in on the 11th for our 3rd and final post.  Blog candy will offered.  My one rule is that you must comment on all 3 of my posts.

Your next stop is Nancy at Fancy with Nancy.

Have a great day!!!

THANK YOU TO OUR TEACHERS BLOG HOP!!

Welcome to the Thank You To Our Teachers Blog Hop!  If you have arrived here from Claudia's blog then you are on the right track.

For my 1st project I decorated an accordion album.  This gift is for my son's Kindergarten teacher.   I added pictures of all the students along with photos of special events during the year.  I left one spot blank for my son to write a thank you note to her.  I'm also going to include a small graduation cap along with the names of each child next to their photo.  (for privacy reasons I did not want to do that for the hop.  Please note, I am going to add more images to this very cute album.  My Imagine and Gypsy are in a fight with me.  Something funky happened when I tried to update it last week.
Here are a couple of pictures.  Enjoy!!!  Scroll down for more information.

So what's a hop without some blog candy?  Since this hop is all week long I will not announce my giveaway until the last day.  My one rule is that you must leave a comment on each post.

I hope you enjoyed my post.  Below is a list of the other blogs participating.  Your next stop is Nancy.

Ahoy Mates!

Hello crafty friends,
Here's another birthday party I was asked to put together.  Unlike my previous party. (Very very girly) Zebra Minnie  this party was for a boy turning 6.  He's all about pirates and Jack Sparrow.  Here are a few things I made.  Its not your traditional red and white stripes because of the whole Pirates of the Caribbean color theme.

For the banner I used Plantin Schoolbook for the circles and letters.  The Jolly Rodger is from Indie Art. The ends of the banner are from some of the party packaging for Pirates of the Caribbean.  I created the tags on my Gimp software and then adhered them to blue cardstock and twine.  The treasure chest and pirate ship were used as center pieces.  I painted them with acrylic paints and added jewels and mardi gras beads.  I also created the custom invitation on GIMP.

Have a great day!
