Decorative Letters

Hi!  Hope everyone is having a terrific Thursday.  The weather has been lousy today.  Great day to snuggle under the covers with a good book or kindle or my iphone ibooks app.  :)

I wanted to show you these beautiful letters I made for a little girls room.  I've done these in the past but never a full name.  Just initials.  I was worried it would look too busy but against a big blank wall I'm sure they will look super cute.

These are not hard to make at all.  I'm working on another name and hope to have a tutorial for you soon.  (i've said that before.  I'm awful at photographing or taking but I will try) When it comes to crafting I'm like an all day snacker.  I get up and sit down frequently throughout the day.

what i used:
Cricut cartridges (Gypsy Wandering and Walk in My Garden), acrylic paints (purple, white and pink), decorative paper, MS punch, Crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot, Stickles, some flowers and embellishments from my stash and some creative mojo.

Have a great day!!!

She's so classy (Barbie party decor) (Decorate to Celebrate Challenge #4)

Happy Saturday,

Hope you are all having a great weekend.  I haven't posted in a bit as some of you know summertime is busy busy busy for me.  I wanted to post all these wonderful Barbie themed party decorations I made.  If you missed the invitations post please click here---->Gatefold Invitations for a close up and more info on them.  What little girl doesn't love Barbie!  I use to play with them as a child so this was so nostalgic for me.  Not to mention they were for my childhood friend.
Invites, cupcake toppers, tags and cupcake wrappers. I used the following cricut cartridges...mothers day bouquet, forever young, accent essentials, gypsy font, tags  bags boxes and more and cupcake wrappers.  Phew!!  That was mouthful!  I'm also entering this in Decorate to Celebrate's Challenge #4.  Go check them out at www.decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Banners Banners!!

Click here for the Explosions Everywhere blog hop

Here are a couple of name banners I made last week.  These were for a baby shower.  The mommy-to-be is having twins. (a boy and a girl)  Did you know that I have a twin brother?  (fun fact about me)  :)  I was asked to make these as a gift to hang at the baby shower and later to hang in their bedroom  The colors were made to match the room.  Sweet and simple!

Happy Crafting!

Paper Fans Favor

CLICK here for the EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE blog hop

Look at these really cute favors.  Made them for a friend/customer.  She sends me a picture of a paper fan. As you know, crafty people always say to themselves...."i can do that":)  So I had to figure out how I was going too get the information on the fan and then cut it out.  I used my GIMP software to create the wording on each fan blade.  Then i printed it out and created the template on my gypsy.  I used the candy corn on the Smiley cards cartridge.  I changed the size of it so that it would look more like a fan blade.    This was made for a 50th Anniversary party but,  can easily be used for an outdoor wedding, baby shower, bridal shower....etc  I had to make 50 of them.  That makes 250 fan blades.  THANK GOD for the Cricut.  I would not have been able to do that by hand.   Here's what I came up with.  Photo quality is not that great.  They were taken at night and the lighting in my house is awful.  You get the gist of it though.

have a great day!!!
