Update on Princess Leah/Collecting cards for Leah and Madison

hello,
If you've been following my blog you'll know that a while back ago I posted about my best friend's niece.  She has an "unidentified" condition and has been in the hospital since almost birth.  Teams of doctors have studied her to no avail.  She's had several surgeries, has been pinched, prodded and had all sorts of treatment.   She's been given more medication than any human should endure.  All this and they still can't figure out what is wrong.  To give you the short story about her recent progress.....Leah was actually able to go home.  She would have nurses and be attached to machinery but would be "home"  So her parents all of a sudden had to rent a bigger apartment. (they're previous one was only a one bedroom and they were planning on getting a bigger one but not this quick.)  Leah has to be attached to certain equipment that would require she have her own room.  The day they bring Leah home, their kitchen catches fire.  Thankfully, no one was hurt and they were able to get out before Leah inhaled smoke.  Dad was able to put out the fire Phew!!  That night she was going in for a sleep study..She went home the next day and developed a fever.  Leah is now in the hospital again for at least another week.  Check out Leah's blog.  Its the longer version of her story.  The Princess Leah Diaries

  1. First...this story kills me. Every time I read the blog It just kills me. I can't imagine what they are going through. Debbie and Scott are such good friends and it is painful to watch that family go through more than they've already had to endure. Second...I sent their cards out today. You should have them tomorrow.
