Crayola Art

Hello Friends!
I know its been a while.  I've been so busy with work that I haven't had much time to post what I've been making.  so here's a quick home decor kids project.  I saw this on Pinterest and HAD to try it with my boys. What you need:  canvas, box of crayons, glue gun and blow dryer.
You hot glue all the crayons to the canvas.  I'm not comfortable giving my kids the glue gun so I had them hand me the crayons.  Once that was done they each took turns with the blow dryer.  You will see the crayons get shiny and start melting down.  they really got a kick out of watching the wax drip. Let it dry a few minutes and tada!!!
have a great day!

Owls Unite! Family Reunion at Decorate to Celebrate

Good Morning Everyone!
It's Wednesday already.  Another week of summer is almost over.  :(  My kids are not looking forward to school in 2 weeks.  I am.....(shhhh, don't tell them that)

I was honored when Rhonda from the Celebrate to Decorate Challenge blog asked me to be a guest designer.  The theme for the week is Family Reunion.  Here's what I came up with.

I couldn't help it.  I had to add that first line there.  This is the invitation to the  reunion.  It's a 5x7.  The cute little graphics are from mygrafico.com  After printing them I adhered it to an orange colored cardstock.
Since cupcakes are all the rage...i made coordinating cupcake topper and wrapper.  I used the cupcakes wrapper cricut cartridge.  That's my new favorite cart.  Zeni, I promise I'll give it back to you one of these days.

This is a close up of the centerpiece picks.

here's the whole set up together.
Have a great day and make sure to check out Decorate to Celebrate and enter their challenge!!!
