28 candles blog hop WINNER

hello!! A big THANK YOU for all the lovely comments!  This was my first time doing an explosion box.  It was loads of fun.  It was a little time consuming but I found that writing down what I'm going to do in each tab makes it easier. To make the actual box was pretty easy.  I watched various youtube videos and blogs. I wish I could remember all the names.  There are a couple different kinds with similar measurements.  They're not hard at all.

Also want to WELCOME all my new followers.  I hope you won't be disappointed.   :)

Enough chatting...the winner of the 28 Candles blog hop is:

4 cards and no cricut

Hello!  Happy Monday...(or as happy as it can be)  It was a lazy Sunday for us yesterday so I was able to sit in my craft area and whip up 4 cards.  Can you believe I didn't use my cricut!!!  I think it's mad at me for abandoning it...:)  Here's what I made.  I've been trying to familiarize myself with stamping and coloring images more.  I don't have copics (i wish i did) right now.  I don't feel I'm into enough to warrant spending money on them yet.  I know once I buy one I'm going to have to get all of them.

My first attempt at a rosette.  The stamp is from My Pink Stamper
stamp set.  The twine is from My Craft Spot.  Kimberly has great stuff!
Kimi, I know you're going to see this before
you get it.  made this for you and didn't have
time to post it on the hop.  You know...LIFE!!!

This is for my nephew who is turning 13 this week.  ugh, its
tough to make something for a teenager.  The sentiment here
is from Michaels.  The "13"  I have no idea.  It was
a numbers set given to me a few years ago.  The stars
are a MS punch and I used Fire Brick Red distress ink
for the base.

For my friend Cindy who live miles and miles away!
Forgot to take pics of the inside but I used a Michaels stamp that
says "i've been thinking about you"  The flower stamps are from
Pink by Design "Grow" collection.  Its part of the monthly
kit I get.  There are so many cute images.

The stamp here is also from Michaels.  This card is
for friends we had dinner with the other night.
It had been a while since we had seen each other.I used
chalk around all the edges to make it more interesting.

Keep coming back.  I have lots of things going on this week!

Happy Crafting!!

Easel Card/Pedestal Card - You're awesome

Hello crafty and non-crafty friends,
Its mid-week and I can't wait until the weekend.  Make sure you stop by.  I'll have a really cute project posted for a blog hop I'll be in.

So, is it a pedestal card or an easel card?  I've seen it called both..  So I decided to make my own name for it.   The first name I thought of "Pedeasalstal" card.  Doesn't really roll off the tongue nicely 2nd name was: "Easelpedes" This one was a little better but didn't sound quite right.  In the end I decided to just call it whatever I was in the mood for at the moment.  So today, I call it an Easel card. Tomorrow I may call it a pedestal card. Enough blah blah blah from me.

I made this card for my lovely friend Zeni.  if you haven't seen her blog yet you MUST go see it.  ScrappyZeni <---------click on the link

We met (not personally, yet) through very strange circumstances which I can't really go into detail right now but we've really hit it off.  She's currently on 3 design teams, works full-time, and is completely devoted to her daughters and their cheerleading traveling team.  She's quite busy and somehow manages to squeeze in her crafting.  To show my support I whipped up this little card for her.

It's my first Pedestal card (see, depends on my mood)  I used the Forever Young cartridge and the patterned paper is from the DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies paper stack.  I stickled around some of the flowers and used my white jelly roll pen to add some interest around the letters and the card.  Also put little dots around the scallop circle.  The sentiment if from one of the My Pink Stamper collections.

If you need instructions on how to make this card you can contact me and I'd be happy to help.

ENJOY!!

Repurposed Banners/Whimsical Wednesdays

Hello Crafty Friends,
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  Lots of blog hops going on.  If you haven't visited yet, go check out Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge blog.   They're having an awesome hop going on to introduce their awesome designers.

Anyway, a couple weeks ago I posted some banners I made. You can check out that post HERE. A few days after the party I received this picture via text.  They took the banners and hung them up in the playroom.   That made me feel so good.  Makes it all worth it.   Not a great picture(it was taken with a phone)

have a great day!
